Daily Announcements

Today is a 3-bell day with a 1:50 assembly period.  Please make sure you have read Mrs. Rowland’s Sunday email.  There are several mandatory things happening during the assembly period today!  Tomorrow is a 4-bell day; Wednesday is a 3-bell with a 2:15 dismissal; Thursday is a 4 and Friday is a modified 7-bell shadow day!

This weekend in sports:

On Friday, varsity volleyball beat Centerville in 4 sets! 

The Cross Country Saints ran in the ​Centerville Saturday Night Lights Race this weekend! Both Varsity and Open had great races with Varsity placing SECOND out of 32 teams, led by Abby Condren, and Open placing FIRST out of eleven teams, led by Madigan Pauly. 

Way to go, Saints!

Today in athletics:

JVB Soccer plays Mason at Mason High School at 5:00

JVA and Varsity Soccer meet Mercy McAuley at the PAC at 5:00 and 7:00.  The varsity game is a charity event and it’s senior night.  Come out and support your senior Saints!  Be signed in by 7:30 to count for house points!

And remember that tomorrow night’s volleyball game, also against Mercy McAuley is a charity event.  It’s grade school night and the theme is all out green.

The National Honor Society will be having a meeting for current senior members only this Thursday, October 6th.  We will be meeting in the auditorium at 7:30. If you cannot attend, please email Sadie Briggs or Mrs. Meese!

Yesterday in sports:

JVA soccer tied Mercy McAuley 1-1

Varsity beat Mercy McAuley 4-1 on their Senior night! Goals by Mille Cluxton, Kenzie Carle, Lexi O’Shea, and Shannon Ott!

Today in athletics:

Varsity Golf competes in the sectional tournament at Walden’s Pond Golf Club in Hamilton beginning at 8:30 this morning.

All three volleyball teams take on Mercy McAuley at home tonight at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30.  It’s grade school night and a charity event!  The theme is all-out green!  So bring your light sticks!  Sign in by 6:30!

 Life Skills Club will be  meeting this Thursday from 3:30-4:30pm at MMA near Western Bowl off Glenway. The cost is $10 and students will get to participate in a hands-on self-defense class using martial arts mechanics. Students need to bring signed waivers and gym clothes. Stop by Mr. Morrison’s room for the forms and more specific information. 

To honor the month of the Holy Rosary and the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, our school chaplains will be starting a weekly Rosary service this Friday, October 7, before school in the chapel.  

"The service will begin promptly at 7:15. All are invited to attend!  If you cannot come for the whole service, just come by for however long you can stay.  You can bring your own Rosary, or we can provide one. If you are nervous because you don’t remember everything about the rosary, It’s OK!!!  Please come and pray with us, and you will get comfortable with it in time!

Today is a 3-bell day with a 2:15 dismissal.  See Mrs. Rowland’s email from yesterday for specific assembly time directives. Remember that tomorrow is a paid out of uniform day for hurricane relief.  Minimum donation is $5.  All proceeds will go to Matthew 25 Ministries which is currently making direct donations to hurricane victims of personal care items, bottled water, baby items, cleaning supplies and more.  Please consider donating.

Yesterday in sports:

The varsity golf team ended their season yesterday at the sectional tournament with an 8th place finish. Elena Beck led Seton shooting an 84. She went on to play an additional 3 holes in a sudden death round, but fell just short of districts. The saints had a great season finishing with a record of 10-6. 

All 3 volleyball teams swept Mercy McCauley. Freshman and JV in 2 sets. Varsity won in 5 sets. The scores were 25-14, 18-25, 25-22, 22-25 and 15-11.

Yesterday in athletics:

JV Golf had back-to-back wins this Tuesday and Wednesday! 

Tuesday, the team played Loveland at Eagles Nest, winning 201-234. Isabelle Hageman and Zoe DiNovo tied to medal with 48, followed by Caitlin Childs’s 50 and Sophie Myers’s 55.

Yesterday, the golfing saints played Kings at Shakers Run Golf Club, winning 203-238. Zoe DiNovo medaled with 44, followed by Isabelle Hageman’s 52, Sophia Bass’s 53, and Caitlin Childs’s 54.

There are no athletic events today!

This is a reminder that Monday night’s varsity Soccer game against Mercy McAuley at the PAC is a charity event.  It’s also senior night!

And Tuesday’s varsity volleyball game, also against Mercy McAuley, is a charity event and it’s grade school night!

Varstiy volleyball plays Centerville tonight at Centerville at 5:00

Cross Country participates in Saturday Night Lights in Centerville at ?????

JVA and Varsity Soccer play Oak Hills at Oak Hills at 1:00 and 3:00.  Tickets must be purchased online.  No cash will be accepted at the gate.

Results of Wednesday’s Tennis Charity event:  Cedar gets 2 points; we have a tie, so O’Connell and Segale each get 3 and Emmits takes the 4!

The standings are still tight!  O’Connell is in the lead with 24; followed by Emmits with 23, Segale has 21 and Cedar is not at all far behind with 18.

Remember that you have two chances next week!  Monday night’s varsity soccer game against Mercy McAuley at the PAC at 7:00 is a charity event and senior night.

Lily: The order forms for St Nick Surprise come out today!  We are so excited!

Sophia: we are looking back at what we got for the last 3 years!  (Everyone look at the past gifts)

Maggie – the bag was my favorite!  But the blanket and slippers are so cozy!!

Kylie – oh my gosh!!  I wonder what this years gift will be!  That is always so much fun to find out the surprise!
