HAPPY GREEN WEEK!

Today is a 3-bell day with a 1:45 assembly period.  Please see Mrs. Rowland’s email for things that are happening during the assembly time.  The rest of the week is:  Tuesday is a 4-bell day; Wednesday is a 3-bell day with our opening school mass during the assembly. All students must be in uniform on Wednesday!  Thursday is a 4-ball day and Friday is our Wellness Walk Day!

Over the weekend in sports:

The freshman volleyball team beat Sycamore in 2 sets, 25-16 and 25-13. 

Golf  finished 2nd in the Best of the West 18 hole Tournament held at Miami Whitewater on Saturday behind Oak Hills with a score of 351. Seton’s medalist was Izzy Selby with an 80, placing 4th individually. Next were Megan Childs and Maddie Baker, each with a 90; Elena Beck with a 91 and Sydney Gavin with a 94.

JV tennis vs. Harrison at 4:00 at the PAC

Varsity B tennis also meets Harrison at 4:00 at Harrison

Varsity A tennis plays Loveland at 4:00 in Loveland

JV golf vs. Oak Hills at 4:30 at Woodland Golf Course

All three soccer teams play St. Ursula:  JVB at St. Ursula at 4:30

JVA at 5:00 at the PAC and Varsity at 7:00 at the PAC

This is a reminder that Wednesday’s soccer game is a charity event!  It is also grade school night!  The theme is Hawaiian!  So find your best luau attire and come out to cheer on your Saints and earn points for  your house!

Results of last Thursday’s golf charity event:  Segale earns 1 point; Cedar earns 2; Emmits gets 3 points and O’Connell gets 4! 

That puts the house standings as follows:  Segale in 4th place with 8 points; Cedar in 3rd with 11; Emmits in 2nd place with 14 and O’Connell in 1st with a slim lead of 15 points!

Tomorrow is the FINAL Walk turn-in day!! Be sure to turn in any last donations tomorrow during Mentor Group. There are lots of prizes up for grabs, and there will be a winning mentor group, a winning house, and charity points given!!  Donations received after MG tomorrow will not count toward incentives so plan ahead!  All prizes and winners will be announced on Friday. Thank you for your support of the Walk and Seton Helping Saints!

Auditions for The Seton-Elder Drama Club’s production of CSI Neverland will be on Tuesday September 14th and Thursday September 16th immediately after school in Mr. Rogers room (S-133) in the Schaeper Center. 

Students may come to either day of auditions. You do not need to prepare anything for the auditions, you will be reading from the script.

If you cannot make either of those dates, then please email Mr. Rogers and he might be able to accommodate another time. Break a leg!"

NHS will be offering tutoring today in the library during the 1:45 assembly period. Tutoring will be offered every Monday 1:45 assembly during this semester. No appointment is needed, and everyone is welcome! 

Tickets for the GGD will be sold during lunch bells on Wednesday and Thursday.  Cost of a ticket is $20 if you are coming by yourself and $25 if you are bringing a date.  You can purchase a ticket at the door on Saturday night, but the price goes to $25 and $30!!!!!  So plan ahead!  You must turn in your signed permission slip at the time you purchase  your ticket!

Remember that tomorrow’s theme is You Are What You Eat!  Have fun!

jva soccer lost 2-1 to saint ursula with  a goal by Ella Gorczyca. 

JVB soccer  tied 1-1 against Ursula.

Varsity A tennis meets St. Ursula at 4:00 at Lunken Field

Varsity B tennis plays St. Ursula at 4:00 at the PAC

All 3 volleyball teams meet St. Ursula at St. Ursula at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30

Today is a 3-bell day with a 2:15 dismissal.  At the end of bell 2, leave your backpacks in class and report to the auditorium.  You should be in your assigned seat.  Be sure to put your hat on after mass!!!

Yesterday in sports:

JV golf played Oak hills and won 194-216. Sophie Meyers had a 46, Isabelle Hageman had a 48, and Sophia Bass and Elizabeth Shewmaker both had 50’s. Lowest score was Kristen Link playing as an extra with one over par 35.

Seton freshman volleyball team beat Saint Ursula in 3 sets. 25-15 Sua, 27-25 Seton, 25-9 Seton.

~Doubles teammates Sophia Pastura ’24 & Bella Roeder ’24 also beat their Wyoming opponents

~Mary Kate Tucker ’23 & Alina Roell ’23 are undefeated so far this fall in doubles with a 7-0 record

Auditions for The Seton-Elder Drama Club’s production of CSI Neverland will be held again tomorrow  immediately after school in Mr. Rogers room (S-133) in the Schaeper Center. 

Calling anyone interested in pro-life work! Starting tomorrow, Saints for Life with be hosting Students for Life (a national organization) to give a 5-week series on the situation of abortion in America, how to speak about abortion in a kind, compassionate and educated way, and how to be more involved in supporting women in crisis pregnancy and their children in our community. We will meet at 7:15am in the MPR every Thursday. Email Mrs. Greve with any questions. 

Remember that tickets for the GGD will be on sale during lunch bells today and tomorrow.   Ticket sellers will be right outside the Halo Café.  You must turn in a completed and signed copy of your permission slip at the time you purchase a ticket.  Please have correct change.  Checks should be made payable to Seton High School.

Today is a 4-bell day.  Tomorrow will start with mentor group at regular time.  You do not need to bring anything with you. Although you might want to be sure you have a sweatshirt.  It will be helpful during our yoga activity! And we will be in the auditorium for lip sync and you know it can get kind of chilly in there!  And you might want to bring a water bottle.

Yesterday in sports:

jva soccer defeated ursuline in a 3-0 shutout with goals by jessica vandevelde, madison thatcher, and ella volmer. 

JV golf beat Milford 172 to 192. Medalist was Carley Martini with a 38, behind her Kristen Link with a 41, Maddie Withers with a 44 and tied for 4th were Sophie Meyes and Sophia Bass with 49’s

Varsity golf had a hugeeeee 1 stroke win over Mercy Mccauley. 174-173. Medalist was Izzy Selby with a 1 over par, 37.  Maddie Baker had a 6 over par, 42. 

The Varsity Tennis saints took home the win yesterday against walnut hills, 3 to 2.

Varsity A tennis plays Mt. Notre Dame at the PAC at 4:00

JV golf vs. St. Ursula at 3:40 at Woodland Golf Course

All three volleyball teams take on Lakota West at Lakota West at 5:00 and 6:00
