Last week, our saints went on a summer immersion trip through St. Vincent de Paul’s Ozanam Center. Students were provided service opportunities through the SVDP food pantry, Sheakley Boys and Girls club, Epic House and St. Francis Seraph Ministries. Students also learned ways we can help people experiencing poverty and homelessness through a poverty simulation and a shelter building exercise. It was a great way for our Saints to give back to our Cincinnati community! The 4x800 relay team battled to a 15th place finish, while Heidi Harmeyer earned 7th place in the 3200m and 9th place in the 1600m.

On their last full day in the French Riviera our Saints explored the Jardin Exotique, a luscious garden filled with of a variety of plants and green foliage sitting atop the city. The view from the top just couldn’t be put into words! They also went to the Fragonard perfume factory where they got to make their own scent! Our Saints are being treated to the stunning views of Côte d’Azur! They’ve experienced the rocky beaches of Nice and even braved a downpour on their way to taste the local cuisine Socca (chickpea pancakes).
