CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The Seton soccer team finished off a spectacular run through the postseason by beating Strongsville, 1-0, in the Ohio Athletic Association Division I state championship game on Friday at Lower.com Field in Columbus.

Senior forward Shannon Ott tallied the game's lone goal with 11:50 remaining off an assist from junior forward McKenzie Carle to give the Saints their first ever state soccer title.

It was Ott's 11 goal of the season and Carle's 12th assist.

Senior keeper Riley Tarvin and the Saints' defense made that goal hold up. Tarvin finished with seven saves.

Seton finished the season with a 19-3-1 record, while Strongsville ended 16-3-3.
