Celebrating Sainthood: Living the Legacy of St. Elizabeth Seton
“Rejoice, we say to the great nation of the United States of America. Rejoice for your glorious daughter. Be proud of her. And know how to preserve her fruitful heritage.” Pope Saint Paul VI, September 14, 1975
What a wonderful day here at Seton celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Canonization of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton!! We had such a beautiful Mass with our honored guests – the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati. We are so grateful for their love, support and prayers over the years and for showing us through their actions how to live like St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Thank you to Campus Ministry for planning all the special details of the Mass, the Seton chorus for the beautiful music, our art students who created the mural, senior Ava Rudolf for her thoughtful reflection and to Fr. Phil Seher for his inspiring words! It was extra special to have the Sisters of Charity join us for a delicious lunch in The Grove and our Saints got to enjoy soft serve from Duebbie Queen’s Ice Cream to help celebrate this day!
