The Advising and Counseling Department offers a comprehensive and inclusive approach to student support.
Services range from developing personal learning plans, scheduling courses, navigating the college admission process, to promoting social and emotional well-being and adopting pro-active behaviors necessary for life fulfillment and success.
Four full-time School Counselors, divided into Houses, work one-on-one with students to develop the 21st century skills necessary for success in college, careers, and life. Whether a student is gifted and accelerated, traditional, or has a specific learning need, they are assigned and supported by an Advisor who will follow them throughout their four years of high school. Advisors help students develop personal learning plans, navigate the course selection and scheduling process, and prepare for college admissions and financial aid. Advisors also meet once per quarter with their Advisees to further support the academic, social, and personal growth of each student and may refer students to the Student Support Services team for additional support as necessary.
